12. During football training, poles were placed from one end to the other end of a field. The poles were equally spaced out at 100 cm apart on the field. The field was 100 m long. The width of the poles was insignificant and did not affect the distance covered.
(a) What is the total number of poles required for the training.
(b) On another day of training, 20 flag poles were lost. As a result, the remaining poles were rearranged from one end to the other end of the field at a new equal spacing. Find out the new spacing between 2 poles?
